I've got friends around the country that are of a different race but I don't regularly see them.
Some of that statistic is probably just because of where people live. If you live in a backwoods Catholic farming community that isn't on the map, I doubt you'll see too many minorities. I'm not saying it isn't possible...but this statistic doesn't mean we're all racists.

We live in a multicultural society, and for me personally, I have good experiences with people from different countries, which has been rewarding especially related to my travels and in Sweden.
