no offense taken and I'm sure the same goes for you when I say that some of us happen to live, or have lived, in countries where the DVD version was not purchasable and download was the only option, hell, I even had to get it through a US citizen to purchase the download
apart from this, even software that is bought online ought to work, even years afterwards, just like a "normal" piece of software on a dvd, cd whatever does
