Have not heard of that happening in WWI but I admit that my knowledge of that time is pretty limited. It would definitely cool to have one on display but I doubt you could restore them to proper quality after so much time under water.
I always wondered whether war graves actually expire.
No one cares for example for war graves from the times of the Roman Empire. They get neatly dug out and everything found is put on display...
