Are you shure it is radar contacts..becose sometime lookouts can also spot same target/contact ..sometimes(in arhipelagos,river deltas etc...) they will be the first to report contact !..so do some tests..put 1 large and 1 small contact beyond visual range and turn on radar so lets see what will hapen..
