I'm trying to limit mods to 1) GWX addon mods, 2) mods that don't alter any previously loaded mods, and 3) mods that make mostly cosmetic changes. Got a few that violate these rules, but we'll see.... May go with straight GWX just to reassure myself that it is OK.

Look for mods that mess with the menu_1024 file.
I would also deactivate the widescreen mod.
