where two people died. and why? because the use of a 777 is much closer to "home" that zealots in a far away country.
Yes, air travel is a more "serious" risk that the public can readily identify with and is close to home (wherever that may be). The media will be concerned over the crash, is it an isolated incident or is the airframe vulnerable which will have wider ramifications that could effect business travel and tourism.
