If you go for submarines I suggest to try the Los Angeles first. The interface is simpler than seawolf's, and the sonar and weapons are easier to use than Akula's. I think that the kilo, albeit one of my favorite platforms, is very frustrating for the first time, being the TMA more difficult and tedious without the towed array.
