Definitely was a "simulated" magazine explosion.I sank another cruiser with an S boat on 8 December 41(off Malaya, using pre pearl harbor mod was on patrol when war started, encountered 3 heavy cruisers and two DD's, the khoto baru (sp?) covering force. Four Mark 10's spread along the cruiser's length much like the attack described in this threat.Four hits, cruiser capsized, then sank, shortly after it sank, huge underwater explosion, no massive fireball above water as it had sunk but watching it with external cam, explosions were coming from areas where forward and rear magazines would be located.
