This game is nothing like SH3 (it is in my opinion much better than SH3 BTW).
Concepts are so much different you'll have to un-learn much of what you learned for SH3 (which may be a good or bad thing, depends on how you look at it).
Playing only MH60 helo is the easiest way to start - it is by far the least complex of all drivable platforms. FFG is the most complex.
