If it helps any, the unit code of the Merchant Ship Fighter Unit was 'LU'
In the picture iambecomelife has up, although it can not be made out, that particular aircraft had the code 'NJ-L' I don't know why it had the 'NJ' code, or what unit that designates.
For searching the internet, the official designation of the hurricat was Sea Hurricane Mk1A.

The Encyclopedia of Aircraft of WWII General Editor Paul Eden, and I knew this info was in here because some time ago I made a Hurricat mission for Pacific Fighters, and this was part of my research. (I never released the mission, any PF players out there interested?)
Anyway, somebody
did do a hurricat skin for PF a year or two ago, it was on the now dead il2skins.com website. I have it on disk somewhere. I can dig it out if you like, mabee you can use it as a model? Just remember its not my work, so credit will need to be respected for the creator.
