Well, you definitely need the landlord there with you for the exit inspection of your apartment. Otherwise, they could claim all manner of damages and forfeit your deposit. Then you hand them the keys after all documents are signed off on. I would think that they would be chomping at the bit to turn the place over and get it rented to a new tenant ASAP.
