I found it as soon as I read your post. How I couldn't locate it before is beyond me...after looking for about an hour or so

However I was looking for the file which has in-game renown values. I think I found it in:

SteamApps-Common-SilentHunter3-sh3-data-cfg-main-Renown=500.0000

and

SteamApps-Common-SilentHunter3-data-cfg-Main-Renown = 1000.0000

I changed both values to 1.00000

Hopefully I've done that correctly in order to have a slightly more challenging game to earn those medals and promotions?
