You make an excellent point. I started out with an Apple II in 1981 with a green mono monitor and a cassette tape drive...the entire OS and program resided on the same tape

Other than a collector I doubt anyone is using those old systems or software today. Software and hardware technology are advancing faster and faster every few years. It also seems that as technology advances it becomes cheaper allowing people to upgrade quicker. What will we be using in another five or six years? It will be interesting to look back at this thread then and see what happened with SH3 and SH5 for that matter.
