I took a break, too. Other then some occasional fidgeting and testing of stuff, I really haven't actually sat down to play it. Recently, I created my fourth Data folder for use with the game.
This time I went back to the roots. It is a patched stock version of the game. I fixed some other major bugs and installed Harbor Traffic 1.47. Surprisingly, it is pretty fun just to play the stock game again. It loads quicker, too.
