Congratulations on the closing, Frau. I hope you have many, many happy days and time in your new abode. Just one little bit of advice, if you haven't already heard it or know of it: It is always a bit of a wise move to change all the existing locks on your new home before moving in; you never know who might have copies of the key(s) other than the former owner. It generally is not a problem, but past experiences of others has proven otherwise. In fact, my first ex was somewhat unnerved when she came home to her new place, after our divorce, and found the former tenant's son sitting in her living room. I had to do one of those super-rush, kick-out-the-bounder type scenes and replace the locks. I also wound up having to stake out her place for a few nights in case the fool came back again.
