As I recall when I was in almost the same spot as you (which was just recently), I just continued on back to Kiel (my home port at the time). I had gotten a message saying I was being transferred to St. Nazaire but it didn't even show on the map. Once back in Kiel, my next patrol just said "null", so I surfed on over to St. Nazaire (which now
did show on the map) and VIOLLA! New orders for my next patrol.
