I don't use the phone at all when I drive, to talk or to text. If it rings I ignore it. If I'm expecting an important call I'll pull over and see who it was. If it was the call I was expecting I'll call them right back, while parked. If I thought using the phone all the time was important for me I would have a hand-free setup.

I hate texting in general anyway.

Here in Utah it's completely legal to use the phone while driving.
