I started out in Sub Command learning about TMA and the Ohio Class 688's. Next I went to the helo and learned about it. Then I studies how the PC3 works. Now I am playing with the SeaWolf and trying to learn about how she works.
I have a lot to learn and the learning is going slow for me.

You seem to have a good system for learning this complex sim. I took the same approach. Just hang in there and, with a little patience, you will have this sim down cold.
(The printed manual helps too!

BTW: a good way to practice is to make a quick scenario where it is you and one other ship that you place in the scenario. Then you know what is out there and can practice using sonar and TMA, etc. That is how I taught myself to use the towed array.
