I just installed 1.0 and updated to 1.4 and I keep having the game crash. I didn't install any mods, I just thought I would check it out stock. I started a career in the Asiatic fleet, set to hard and I was given a mission to go up to Taiwan and take pictures of a ship yard. I did that, was told that Manila was no longer available and my base of ops was moved to Java. I took out 3 ships for about 13,000 tons and was worried I couldn't make it to Java because of how far north I was. I made for Midway to refuel, got there and figured I could end in Pearl. I was told Manila was no longer a base of ops, I got to Java, after having sunk 2 ships I refueled and the game froze again. Is there any way to see what keeps making it freeze? I have a new pc and since this game came out a few years ago, I am confused as to how it keeps doing this?

There could be a number of reasons why SH4 is not responding well on your computer. Listing your computer specs would help along with your operating system.
