Why? There is a whole branch of Christianity (prosperity theology: see
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prosperity_theology) that argues that God brings financial rewards to those that believe in him. This doctrine seems to work too, at least in as much as it brings financial rewards to those who preach it...
