The video clip is not part of SH3 Commander. Commander does allow you to pick your sub number, patrol grid, manage your crew, awards, promotions, better than SH3 does. Not to mention adjust parameters such as deck gun reload times and wave height, gives your captain a birth date and city, has a randomized crew name database with 1.7 billion possible names and my favorite: every single ship you sink gets an historically accurate name, crew number (including how many died in your attack) and cargo loadout.
I always say that what supermods do for your game, Commander does for your career.
