Where did you install SH3? It should
not be installed in the Program Files (x86) directory, but someplace like c:/sh3 for example.

My laptop has the A6 AMD processor with the same amount of ram and a 1GB Radeon running under Windows 8. I have had no problems running SH3 with GWX and other mods. I would suggest you post your mod order here on the forum for other's, that know more about mods, to take a look at to see if that is a possible source for your CTD's
