I once participated in a joint exercise with the Canadian military way up in Alberta and I have great respect for them. Even the females. Though they are a bit fugly.
Loved that two weeks in the north. We were warmly greeted by a car load of Canucks who felt compelled to show us their back sides. What was up with that?
The only problem we ran into was a Canuck unit in charge of laundry that took a fancy to our BDUs and failed to return a few articles. But, they fed us good and provided shelter that was more adequate than our own.
