I told McAfee to allow the PUP for now. I installed the 1.03 patch ok. I allowed the online game program (forgot it name) to load onto my harddrive. So I should be good to go for online gaming in the future.
I had McAfee Virus Scan turned off ( turned it off from the taskbar) but evidently it was still running in memory and stepped back in and tried to stop the patch online software PUP from loading. I told McAfee to allow it to load.
I then reloaded McAfee and did a virus scan and it found about 6 programs that were installed that it considered PUPs. Right now I am going to allow them to stay on my computer by telling McAfee that they are Trusted PUPs. That way McAfee won't complain about them. I can always take these PUP's out of my trusted file and McAfee will find them again and allow me to delete them or quarantee them.
I just don't want any spyware on my system. Not sure what these game things are really far but evidently we can't play online without them. So they will stay in place for the time being.

Also thanks to all the beta testers and Jamie and the gang at Sonalyst for giving us this new 1.03 patch. You guys deserve a pat on the back.

and for the McAfee...well it is up to u..i dont know what program he trys to block..but even if u say NO to that download u stilll can get a lot of ppl for multiplayer on some other way..even here on this forum(im not expirienced with this so i just say that that program is not MUST HAVE for MP) |
