I always find it entertaining that two people can both play for "realism" and yet have such different ideas about what is realistic.
I edit my awarded renown to give 0 for neutral ships and -1 for friendlies, on the principle that kaleuns were not penalized for sinking neutrals, but I didn't want to get rewarded for them either, and every single instance of sinking a friendly led to a court-martial that invariably concluded that the kaleun was not at fault.
I tried having realistic crew rotations, but in SH3 when you hit a storm their stamina gives out after only two hours, and in a Type II you just can't do it. So I set my Commander for 'No Fatigue' and don't worry about it, as in real life they rotate themselves and it's not the captain's problem.
And yet we both consider our attempts to be "realistic".
