Back in the old day they would claim that a man running for office had a cheap wig or used cheap powder in his hair..

Thomas Jefferson and John Adams had the first "dirty" campaign.i say that because the entire "birther" thing was a smear campaign.the skeet shooting is just calculated publicity stunt that all presidents pull in some shape or form as Penguin said.
