Does this mean that we should ban all religions? Doing so will not stop such people, they will just search for another excuse, or just not use one at all.
After all, we who wax lyrical about freedoms have not always been so lenient, it is hard to think of a major world power today that has not indulged in a spot of genocide in its time, but does that mean that for the actions of our ancestors that we should expect the world to hold us accountable?
Unfortunately, the more publicity these people get, the longer their arm reaches, and they pass their hate onto the next generation so that the hate grows, and so our hate of them grows, until it is very much us and them.
...I cannot help but remember a time in Germany when the media portrayed a group of people as 'savages' and encouraged 'us vs them' and I can't help but remember what that lead to.

Damm right.
a "us" and "them" attitude can lead to terrible places
May it never happen again
