The UC-97, a WWI minelayer is in just 300 ft of fresh water off of Highland Park, Illinois (a bit north of Chicago). It appears to be in relatively good shape, the company that found it A&T salvage, just doesn't seem that interested in raising it anytime soon. But I sure am, it would be the only WWI U-Boat on display and would look real nice next to the U-505 at MSI. What are they thinking-go get it!
