Also, in order to be a flash in the pan, there had to be a "flash" which I've never seen from Ponder.

I was being sarcastic with RG3, I thought I beat on him enough here for people to know I think he is a joke.
As For Ponder, he did great this year with a not so good team. He also caught alot of hype, and faded fast.

Speaking of Kaepernick, he was 17/31 for 267 yards, 2 TDs and 1 INT. He rushed 16 times for 181 yards and 2 TDs. While the passing stats are decent, it's clear that we're not talking Peyton Manning here. What broke the game was the run. As much as you may not want to admit it, the 49ers have a runner in Kaepernick. Both he and RG3 are very much in the Vick mold. A pocket passer he is not.

Did you see how he answered that INT, that came second play of the game? He drove down the field.
The guy got a poise, that Alex Smith does not, plus he can actually go for the long ball.
Crap on him all you want, but eventually he will earn his respect. Peyton caught this treatment, so did Brady after they switched from Bledsoe, Steve Young did too upon replacing Joe Montana. Haters gonna hate.
I will still love my team, and the great things they have done.
