That would have been a more sensible reason as to why the project was cancelled than the real reason.
My favourite toy...now you're asking, I did have a lovely Tomy train set, that took up the entire floor of the spare room, had a big bridge and everything. That used to be fun to watch the trains go round. And then there was the teddy bear that my Mum and Dad got for me when they went out once and my Nan was looking after me, I still have that bear.
But alas the Tomy train set has long disappeared into the past.
I still have my Thomas the Tank engine die-cast toy collection somewhere though, up in the attic I think. Including some with the legend of "Made in West Germany" on the bottom.
Shows my age!
