The way I see it, it's all a rumor, based on the fact that I can't confirm how bad Starforce is. SF really hasn't affected me, so I have to trust what other users are posting at message boards; I have to trust that they're telling the truth...
But the fact about rumors, is that they're based on the truth... At least partly.
If so many people are claiming that Starforce hurt their system, half of them might be lying, but then at least half of them are probably the real deal. |
Read the CNET article on it. It will offer even more insight. Oh - and they were threatened to be sued too! Imagine Starforce sueing CNET! I'd love it.
