Another Newby to Subsim
Hi all. I've been around lots of years and am certainly no stranger to the real thing as I am guessing many of you are subvets as well. I have silver and gold dolphins and served on the George Washington (Gold), Abraham Lincoln (Gold), and Ethan Allen (Blue) among others.
I'm looking for help and advice on SH4 & SH5. I previously used Silent Hunter III to satisfy my pent up aggressions, but now with my new fangled 'puter with Windows 7/64 bit I find that nothing works anymore.
I have read some of the various mixed reviews on these games, but would like to know if they will play on my new system and the best place to purchase.
I'm guessing there are links and patches that might help me. Can anyone offer me some good guidance out there?
Yes I met Admiral Rickover. Dr. Edward Teller was my neighbor at one time. And yes I too am a mad scientist of sorts.
