In regards to fish and chips, it usually depends on the place (not plaice
) that you order it from, but it's usually one or two pieces. Size usually isn't too bad, enough to grace a plate, is around here anyway.
Fish, well the big three are the most popular Plaice, Haddock and Cod. Cod is the most popular and traditional...but thanks to overfishing it's also the most expensive, and chances are that the Cod that you eat won't come from anywhere local to the place you buy it at.
Disclaimer: I don't usually actually eat Fish and Chips, more of a Sausage and Chips man myself...not a big fan of fish...which, living in an old fishing town, can be a bit awkward...
