Not really. Neal's idea was to have a forum that was safe for his girls while they were still small. If you wouldn't say it in front of a five-year-old, don't say it here. If you would say it in front of a five-year-old, it better not be mine, or we'll have more than words.

Then why insist on using them? The bottom line is, it's Neal's house and Neal's rules. No "bad" language, no substituting symbols for letters, no switching letters so it can still sound the same. The idea is to be polite and respectful to
everyone.
On the other hand, cartoon swearing - &*^W(! - seems to be okay, at least as I understand it.
