not familiar with these mods but if the icon has been removed from the game then i imagine the mod removed its capability to calculate torpedo solutions for you. now obviously you have found a way around it and made then game do something that the mod doesn't want it to do.
simple answer is if you want your weaps solutions back read up on which mod is the one turning it it off and stay away from it. or disable and re-enable the mod and see what happens. who knows you may get lucky if you do it in a different order
