Yep sonar autocrew is a bit wierd. As for myself I hate most of the autocrew TMA included.
As for the sonar, I cant think of any reason why you would want to use it at all, especially in the Akula.
The narrow band display allows you to spot contacts even in time compression due to its 360 degree display.
The seawolve and 688 on the other hand can be a nightmare....having manually to scan the cursor across bearings is tedious.
What would be nice would be an auto scan option. Oh well heres dreaming.
