One of the most profilated and competent experts of the Euro-misery in an interview on the sins of the Euro dilettantism haunting the continent. In Germany, Sarrazin has a legendary status, and is extremely polarizing. Either people agree with him - that are usually those knowing the matter and knowing the numbers and hard facts -, or they totally hate him for daring to speak out the politically uncorrect, unwanted truths that ideologists and EU-drunk socio-junkeys do not want to hear.
I use to agree with him very much, both on his devastating criticism of failed migration policies and the problem of Islamic subculture preventing integration and what both mean for the costs of the social system and social stability, and on his criticism of a hijacked and misled EU-project and the Euro-disaster. On both things, the numbers and official federal statistics are backing him - something the hate-dripping critics attacking and defaming him, comfortably tend to ignore and never lose a word about. As our own chancellor once said: she knows that what he says is wrong although she admitted that she did not care for reading him. In other words she does not know what she is talking about when saying he nevertheless is wrong. Demagogic bitch this former FdJ-chief-secretary for propaganda is.
In other words: it cannot be what should not be. But again: numbers and statistics that form the working basis of the German ministries, are in support of Sarrazin. His two books are overflowing with solid numerical and statistical basis.
Well, this is him on the Euro:

Sarrazin was senator of finance in the city-state of Berlin, then became member on the board of directors of the German Federal Bank, where he got mobbed out then. He has had two bestsellers in recent years, "Deutschland schafft sich ab", and "Europa braucht den Euro nicht". The first led to maybe the biggest public controversy in German post-war society, and the biggest which-hunt against a person in Germany that so far I have experienced in my life. Left-leaning papers openly wished him in essays and articles a miserable, suffering death. His face is partially paralysed due to a stroke, the left Tageszeitung just days ago wished him that the next stroke he suffers would hopefully do a better, final job on him.
Such is the standard of German quality media these days. I admit that in general they are clearly below the standards of British and especially American newspapers. The main issue is that in germany, fact-oriented report and opinion do not get separated, but get mixed, where as in American papers, from the NYT to the Washington Post, you see a much clearer separation between objective reporting of events and facts, and socalled "opinion pieces". Of course, American TV channels are excluded from my praise. As much as I can judge them from this distance, they are a mess, and extremely biased towards one of the two parties (the commercials-terror not even mentioned). And FOX imo is one of the worst TV channels I have ever heard of, a declaration of bancruptcy by journalism, lacking even minimums of fairness and manners.
