The way I see it is that the people are to afraid and concerned when they hear private health care up here in Canada. Sure we can see the amount of money the Americans are spending when they have to go to the hospital, but that scenario will never happen in Canada.
One of Canada's firmest beliefs is public health care. I am arm over leg with this idea, who isn't? The problem with public health care is you have to pump so much taxpayer's money into it to get it running. Then problems like over crowding come in and where people waiting months, or even years, to get the surgeries they desperately need but then they are rushed out to open up space.
I believe in a two-tier system, where there is public health care working with private health care. Oh, but the arguments of private health care clients get better treatment then public clients or morale issues concerning people paying for treatment. I say "bah" to those arguments. It works, look at Europe.
But the damnist thing I've heard on CBC, is that Paul Martin and Jack Layton, the defenders of public health care, used
private clinics. Oh Canada, why must you take them seriously?
I want to see that gun registry finally removed. That was one of the worst ideas made. It sounds promising, don't get me wrong, but it only hurts the people who obey the law! The criminals will get their guns, no matter what new law comes into play. It has major cost over runs that in turn hurt all taxpayers in Canada (Writing this down made me think of Starforce

... damnit, not the time or place... back to topic :P ).
I am happy that the Conservatives won. Even though I am not allowed to vote, because of age and no Canadian citizenship, doesn't mean I can't complain. Hell, I'll be paying taxes in two years and I want to see my money going into something that works, not to fraudulent politicians or companies that don't deserve it.
Prime Minister Steven Harper, do us proud and jail the scandalise dogs in government, clean up crime, remove the gun registry, and fix the damn public health care!
