No you guys were right the first time, it is tin-foil hat paranoia. I've been listening to George Carlin since the 1970's and he always was a bit of negative nancy but in his later years he really became dark. A failing common to folks as they get older.

The truth is that "Wah wah the game is rigged against us so why even bother trying" is little more than an excuse used by the lazy to quit before they even start. In life we play the hand we're dealt and it does no good to sit on ones duff and whine about it.
