This problem has been explained perfectly in "Win98" topic (just a few forum pages back)
Win98 ver 4.10.2222A causes this saving problem with patch 1.2, 1.3 and 1.4b. Until this day,there isn't any patch, mod or whatever to fix this problem.
Ver 1998 of Win98 doesn't causes this bug
