you cant use old saves because they used old mods you dont have any more.
if you change the mods in the game then any old saves wont work, PERIOD, its that simple. and trying to put it back the way it used to be wont work either because you can never get it back the same way installed exactly in the same order and such, all you can do is just start a new career and move on.
you problem has NOTHING to do with the game itself so uninstalling and reinstalling the game will do nothing for you but waste your time
