I had very similar problems when saving games under Win98, garbage filenames and the like, although loading the In Port Before/After save always worked fine. However when I got WinXP installed the bug never resurfaced. Perhaps WinME is causing the same problem for you?

I have just done an install on my old trusty laptop (PIII etc) wich is not a gaming computer for sure but has win XP. Now SHIII + p1.4b RUNS on this old bucket of a computer Even better: the saving problem is gone!!! It was Win ME who was the culprit all the time  . Going past the computer sales guy on my way back home from work to get XP. New careers on the way :rotfl:
