The blue eagle looks just like the emblem of the Untied Sates with out the 13 stars above the eagles head and the E pluribus unum ribbon not in its beak.As far as I am aware no other nation has copied our emblem the arrows in the left talon and the olive branch in the right talon with the head facing to the right is unique to the US Harry Truman had the head turned it used to face the arrows this was after WWII.

The arrows might also be a trident but a very crappy one with only two points.Honestly the pictures are to lousy to tell what exactly is in the right talon it sort of look like a stick with the number 11 at the top.The blue eagle flag is a pin it should appear as well.

It does look military to me it looks like something sold a gift shop or costume store.

It looks like a lousy imitation of a US Navy officers hat or a chiefs hat.

That or it a country that structures its military after the American military
it looks so rinky dink in quality if it is a real part of an officers uniform it is from a very third world country and that is odd because poor countries have opulent officers dress uniforms.

I am going to go ahead and say that is some costume hat because the tan material looks like polyester and the black band appears to be simply elastic.A dress hat can be made of polyester but a blend for military purposes for better breathing.The gold section looks very home made to me as well.You can even see where they slide the black cloth behind the elastic band and then sawed the large eagle onto both the elastic band and the black patch of cloth behind the eagle.

I hope whoever has this did not pay much money for it.

It is the commodores hat for some yacht club.

Update: Did you see Vonntrapps thoughts? I think he is correct as the origin of the pin someone took the pin and took a generic cap and put it on there.

I can tell that none of the responders over at UBI where in the military as I would expect them to notice the poor quality of the hat and based on that realize that it is not a military unifomr hat.
