When you click on a speed (10knots) and you are in a type VIIa with untrained cre - you will go 10 knots.
If you set speed to 10 knots in a type VIIc (heavy boat) you will only go 8 knots.
Trainingg your crew (motor engineer) can also effect the speed set.
So to get your boat to go 10 knots - click 10 knots - when only 8 is reached - click 12 knots

Yes, that is exactly what's happening. If I order 14, either the boat goes to the next level basic speed or doesn't respond at all. I'll order 13 and maybe get some speed either under or over.
OK, Stock bug. (I'm in a b class right now and love the x-tra power). I can get 1 knot out of her (I think) which is handy when waiting for the 90AOB to come up, but it is disappointing because my fuel saving options are cut just a bit. I can't ussually get the optimum speeds I need for certain things.
Oh Well, Trev, you gave me an answer, I owe you another Brew.
Thanks,

PS: Thanks to Targor and Sober too
