I'll have it installed asap. Will it be ok to install while at sea?

Question on the interior color. In the panorama views, is that the real inrterior color of the times back in WWII, or painted that way so it's easier to see the interior in today's time? I've seen U-boat interiors but can't remember the color they used back then.
