I'm sure they know about communities like this one and the modders that basically rewrote their programs and made it better. It's like a slap in the face to them. Their mentality is probably, " If you can do better...." type attitude. Besides, they have a TON of console games that 13 year olds will buy without hesitation. Even SH5 came out more like a console game, rather than a sim. The modders turned it into a sim. Look at the Assassin's Creed series; BIG success for them, so that's where they're gonna put their resources....where they can MAKE MONEY. To me, it's like any corporation, their not in it for the product, or even, the art; they want a return in the black ink. SH series is a dead horse to them.
I totally agree with wanting to expand it to the later boats, mainly because my passion for U-boats started with U-505 and it is a TYPE IXC. I'd love to Captain that boat, even if it's just on my computer. But we'd have better luck working together and coming up with it as a mod. I know I'm no modder, I wouldn't know where, how to begin. But we're the only ones who care, so we have the power to make it happen, much more power than relying on UBISOFT or any other major corporation to listen and agree. Just my opinion, and I could be wrong, most of the time I am.

Well the series isnt a total dead horse to them since they just pushed SH online though development, even though it looks like a load of old toss, it might attact some newcomers, who then might go sniffing around on Steam for a richer experience. (could happen) As long as SH5 is on steam its going to sell a few copies here and there - espeically when its on sale.
But Ubi will not make DLC if they only think a few hundred people will buy it...
I'll sign the petition while expecting the worst but hoping for the best.

I guess in hind sight Ubi could have done a 'Railworks' on SH5, it might have worked.... SH5 was rushed but still very playable and well presented, I guess it must have tanked quite badly for them to not want to bother with any attempt to salvage it.
