I think I actually disagree.

Ubi screwed up too many times and haven't cared for SH5 far too long - why would they now?
With that - anything that would come from them in regards to SH5 will most likely be horribly broken again and people will have to fix it.

Now, if, let's say, the DO release a DLC or a patch for II or IX uboat, they also will have to make adjustments to the .exe files, .act files and many other stuff. That means, and I believe I'm near-quoting TDW, that people like Privateer and TDW will have to 're-map all those files' making the last 1.5 years wasted, reversing every fix that TDW and many others have come up with (hydrophone fix ie?

TDW and privateer both say that, even though it is not by no means easy and will require a huge effort, it's already possible to get those boats into the game. I think within another year with the same tempo of development and research going right now and you'll have these boats 100% better then if they come from ubi anyhow...
