More realism?
Prepare for a five day trip back to your homeport.
Get you a few buckets, an inflatable kids basin, a washing machine, a sleeping bag, two sets of clothing, a garden hose, a piece of soap, an alarm clock, your binoculars, enough salt and a sewing box.
Now move down into your basement and ask someone to "support" you for ten days. Your better half will be pleased, I guess.
Fill a bucket with diesel oil, several buckets with fresh water and use one of your buckets to pe.e and sh!t in. Have a lid for this one
You may want to use a camping bed to drop the sleeping bag on, place it next to the washing machine.
Prepare the cold food for your basement trip and store as much as possible next to the bucket with the diesel in it.
Cook coffee for five days and reheat it whenever in the mood for it.
Seal the basement from daylight and fresh air, but have one small window to climb out into the garden. Keep it open while "surfaced"!
All five and a half hours climb through the window out, enter the saltwater filled kids basin - fully clothed of course - and read the daily newspaper ten meters away through your binoculars.
Ask your support to pour a bucket of saltwater over your head - according to the simulated weather conditions several times if necessary.
After half an hour climb back into your basement. You may want to change your clothing now.
Start the washing machine and get you some sleep. Make sure to set the alarm clock all two hours to restart the washing machine.
By the way - don't wash any of your clothes in the washing machine. It simulates your starbord diesel engine. Use a bucket and some soap instead.
After five and a half hours get back into your conning basin and read on for half an hour. Take a fresh saltwater shower and come back into your basement.
You may want to change back into your second set of clothing right now before breakfast. Have some sausages, sauerkraut and bread and as much reheated coffee as you want.
Now pour some diesel on the floor next top your bed and try to put it back into the bucket. Clean the floor with some water and soap.
Ask your "support" to connect your cars exhaust pipe with the garden tube and lead the exhaust into your basement for a few minutes. Keep the little window open.
Your job aboard is to check the washing machine and to keep it functional. Disconnect all internal tubes and clean them from any washing powder remains.
Have some food, but pour a bit salt into your coffee today - just enough to taste it destinctivly.
Now you are off duty for four hours. Have some fun inside your basement.
Time to climb your conning basin again, mate. Remember the saltwater shower. Drink half a liter of saltwater to keep the realism feeling up.
After half an hour go back into your basement and get some sleep. Your washing machine should be active as described above.
Time for some personal hygiene. Bucket, water soap - you know it. You may want to wash some clothes in the soapy water too.
Cut off all your buttons and resew them with the sewing set.
Conning basin duty right now, mate.
Intense inspection of the washing machine.
Put one hand into the bucket with diesel oil and clean it with cold water and soap.
Dinner, coffee and time to relax.
Conning basin duty...
Have some sleep next to your running washing machine...
Keep your routine for five days until you reach your homeport. You may want to have your computer running the game at TC 1. Make it a calm trip without any hostile contact.
