May as well re-use this thread as I have another RSRDC question:
How much does RSRDC affect the 'difficulty' of Merchies & Warships? I ask as I'm using TMO and came across a TF with a Carrier or two - nailed one Carrier (just), had em pop a few shots at the 'scope as I tried to bring the bow tubes to bear.
After that I Flank-speeded down to about 450ft, went silent & changed course, then braced for a hammering. In TMO I'd be lucky to get away at all, but I've run the interception twice now (handy save) and they've not dropped a depth charge once on either occasion. They ping a little, zoom around above for maybe five-ten minutes, and then head off again!
Now I know RSRDC reduces TMO difficulty a little, and I know Jap ASW was bad until late-war, but this is late '43... Is this the norm for RSRDC? I don't see warships often and this is my first 'whole of war' career in RSRDC, so I'm more used to TMO difficulty. Any thoughts chaps?
