You have restored my faith in the Athlon 64 series chips McBeck, Thanks.
Yes the last Pentium I had was a Pentium II 400, my friends K6 creamed it & it was cheaper, so since then, AMD!
The system has been running great for about 8 hours straight now & can only put lockups to: 'Cool & Quiet' (enabled) or AGP 3.0 & DBI Output (disabled) or ACPI 2.0 (enabled), these have been changed & running good since.
The clock speed Gizzmoe is almost identicle to the XP 3200 but from what I have gotten from other forums is that this is normal

The bios revision is 1014 (2005), I've been told to stay away from the other versions as they have problems!
Haven't tried games yet as I'm still getting the system to a stable & good performing state. Have overclocked now from 2.2gig to 2.4 gig & still runs cool & stable so far, in Sisoft Sandra multi media CPU is: Integer x4 aEMM/aSSE 22750 it/s
Any remarks on this benchmark is appreciated.
Thanks.
